A thermostat should be able to do much more than just turn on and off your heating or cooling. At the same time as turning on the air-conditioner, your home could also automatically close the curtains or shutters based on temperature.

Step 1 - Connect the INSTEON Micro Motor Controller to the motorised window coverings
Your electrician installs the 240V Micro Motor Controller to your existing curtain/blind/shutter motor.
Step 2 - Set the INSTEON Wireless Thermostat to control the Micro Motor Controller module
Follow the simple instructions for pairing the wireless thermostat to the Micro Motor Controller. This process will also include defining the temperature at which you want the curtains to close, and a different temperature at which you want them to open if necessary.
Step 3 - You're done
Position the wireless thermostat at any position where you want the temperature to be detected and it will operate your window coverings. It can also control other INSTEON devices in your home.
