Your choice of X10 Transmitters Modules and Interfaces is where you get to really choose the power of your Home Automation system. Transmitters and Interfaces send X10 signals along the powerlines to your X10 Receivers, which then switch or dim a light or appliance. Multiple X10 Transmitters can be installed in your home automation system, each providing unique functionality.
The most basic X10 Home Automation system is 1 x X10 Transmitter plus 1 x X10 Receiver. After you choose your transmitter below the next step is to view our X10 Receivers category.

The X10 Transmitters and Interfaces category contains the following sub-categories:
Adding a Programmable Transmitter interface is the key to extracting the full potential from your X10 home automation system. As well as being able to send and receive X10 you can also program sequences, macros and moods for your home.
For example - a computer module could receive a signal that your garage door has just opened as you've just arrived home. The signal triggers the coming home sequence programmed in the interface, which then transmits to numerous receiver modules to turn on the front verandah lights, start the heating and commence playing your music playlist - all without pressing a single button!
Your programmable interface can also be used to create events and sequences that are triggered by time of day, dawn/dusk (+/- offset) and more.
In conjunction with programmable modules, transmitter modules can also be used trigger scenes and ambient lighting moods in your home. One button press on a wall switch transmitter or bedside timer can therefore trigger a whole series of commands, putting your home into the desired mode.
These Do-It-Yourself plug-in transmitters are a simple to install way to control your X10 Home Control system.
Control up to 8 different lights, appliances or macros with this simple to use desktop mini-controller. Turn on/off your TV, stereo system, radio, fan or other appliances anywhere in your home.
The new MT12 is a new X10 bedside/desktop transmitter great for one touch control of your X10 receivers. It has a built-in timer enabling use as an alarm clock (with buzzer), the ability to schedule X10 control and can also automatically control your X10 receivers randomly to simulate occupancy whilst you're away.
In conjunction with programmable modules, transmitter modules can also be used trigger scenes and ambient lighting moods in your home. One button press on a wall switch transmitter or bedside timer can therefore trigger a whole series of commands, putting your home into the desired mode.
These wired-in modules and wall switches require professional installation and add convenient control options to your X10 Home Automation system.
Interfaces third party X-10 compatible hardware to the X-10 - such as alarm controllers, Adicon and other home automation systems.
As X10 signals are sent along the electrical wiring of the home, remote controls and other wireless devices can not directly control X10 Receivers - they can't because your wireless devices are not plugged into the power.
In order to use an X10 compatible RF or IR wireless device with your system, you'll need a IR-to-X10 or RF-to-X10 Interface. These devices receive either the RF or IR signals from your wireless device and in-turn transmit the corresponding X10 signal.
RF/IR to X10 Interfaces can be used for using your X10 wireless devices and remotes to control the X10 system, and also allow you to use a number of other products to control X10, such as:
- X10 RF wireless devices
- Philips Pronto IR remote
- Logitech Harmony universal remote
- Environment control units for wheelchairs etc
- Philips Pronto IR remote
- Many more...
