The solutions below allow you to turn a lamp on, off, or even dim your existing lamps via remote control, letting you create the perfect ambience at the touch of a button. You can even control multiple lamps with the same remote control.
Solution : Controlling your plug-in lamp with a handheld remote control

This solution will get you up and controlling a plug-in lamp in less than 10 minutes. It consists of an INSTEON Mini-Remote and a Plug-In Dimmer module.
The remote sends RF commands (on/off/dim/bright) to the plug-in dimmer module, allowing control from up to 45m away. The remote is capable of controlling eight devices individually, or can alternatively be set-up to control eight 'scenes' that can include a large number of devices (movie time, dinner party, away-from-home, etc).

Step 1 - Plug your lamp into the INSTEON Plug-in Dimmer
Follow the simple instructions to connect your lamp to the INSTEON Plug-in Dimmer module.
Step 2 - Pair the Plug-In Dimmer to the Mini-Remote
Follow the simple Mini-Remote instructions to pair the plug-in dimmer to the remote. You can pair multiple dimmers to a single button or otherwise spread these across their own individual button.
Step 3 - You're done
You can now use your INSTEON Mini-Remote to control your lamps.
